1100KL not only works as a bariatric scale due to its high weighing capacity of 1000 lbs, but is also portable because there are 2 heavy-duty wheels on one side of the platform so it can be transported much like a dolly. Operate high capacity medical scale using an AC adapter or if you plan on moving the scale around a large facility, such as a hospital, load it up with batteries so you are not required to search for available outlets room to room. 6AA batteries (not included) are needed to operate the scale and make it completely portable. Health O Meter Professional has equipped the digital stand-on scale with handrails for patients that need to hold onto something because they have trouble maintaining stability while standing on a scale. In addition to handrails, 1100KL features motion sensing technology to compensate for any movement a patient might make during the weighing process.
