Description
The Tanita MC-780U PLUS is a professional segmental body composition analyzer that uses the latest multi-frequency bioelectrical impedance analysis (BIA) to provide a full set of body composition assessments. The analyzer auto calibrates before each analysis and has a weight capacity of 600 pounds (270 kg). The analyzer's body measurement metrics include body mass index (BMI), body fat mass, muscle mass, basic metabolic rate, total body water percentage, and more. It performs segmental body measurements of muscle mass, body fat percentage and segmental phase angle. The MC-780U Plus captures an array of 31 measurements in 20 seconds.
The analyzer's BIA technology sends a safe electrical signal through the body. This is a quick and non-invasive method to assess body composition. Comparable to clinical standards like DEXA and hydrostatic weighing, BIA provides thorough and reliable results. The MC-780U Plus is an FDA cleared 510(k) Type 2 medical device.
The Tanita MC-780U Plus features an extra-large digital console that can be reversed for confidential readings. It has a Windows® OS operating system and Bluetooth connectivity.
There are three models options that include a column with color choices of black, white or gray. The "-S" model does not come with a column. It does include an aluminum carrying case.
